1. Waist twists:

It is a great exercise to strengthen the abdominal and oblique muscles of your waist. So, to perform this exercise, lie flat on the floor with knees bent and palms against the floor. Lower the legs to one side in a bended knee position, but keep your upper body erect. Lower the legs without twisting the waist. Wait for 10 seconds and go back to the original position. Repeat the same to the other side. Perform about 15-20 repetitions.
2. Bicycle crunches:
It builds core strength and tones your thighs. Lie flat on the floor and press your back to the ground. Place your hands behind the head and move the knees towards the chest and lift your shoulder blades off the ground. Keep the right leg to a 45-degree angle to the ground and turn your upper body to the left and the right elbow towards the knee. Make sure that the rib cage is moving and not just the elbows. Repeat the same to the other side. Perform such 20-30 reps.
3. Fat twitch exercise:
Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet touching the floor. Hold the underside of thighs of both legs and lift upwards until lower legs are parallel to the floor. Straighten the legs and hold for 10 breaths. Perform 5 such reps.
4. Running:
It is a good aerobic activity and it helps to shed extra pounds. It also helps to trim the waistline. Running few days a week helps you gain a healthy body. If you are carrying extra pounds around your waist, it is easy to trim down the waist. So, if you are tired of carrying extra pounds around the midsection, running must be considered.
6. Bending to the sides:
Waist exercises are great to slim down the body and burn about 500 calories. Stand on the ground with shoulder width apart. Place one hand on the hip and hold dumbbells on the other. Bend at the side and let your weight touch the floor. Don’t move the hips and let it get a good workout. Perform such 20 reps on one side and do the same on the other.
Losing the pounds around the waist line may seem like a very challenging task and may require the dedication. Even though it requires some hard work, it is not an achievable goal. Targeted exercises towards the waistline are the key to get a slimmer waistline.
